Playing music in front of a crowd or recording it in a studio involves a lot of equipment and many connections. If you don't want to carry everything with you from one place to another, Maize Studio can help you out. It places a collection of audio devices at your disposal and it allows you to establish connections between them.

The software's installation file is roughly 5 and a half MB, so it should not take long to download it on your computer. The setup procedure is straightforward and easy. You can have Maize Studio up and running in less than a minute and you don't have to sacrifice too many resources.

Devices are displayed as separate windows within the main interface and you can move them however you want. Each device is represented by a small, rectangular object on the left side of the interface, where you can add new devices, re-arrange and connect them. To add a new device, you just need to select it from a sub-menu, after right clicking in the left part of the main window. You can choose between various MIDI devices and interfaces, audio players, mixers, recorders and more.

You can find different numbers of In and Out connection points on each device representation. If you want to connect two or more devices, you must connect these points by drawing a line from one to another. It is possible to hide or reveal individual devices, to avoid cluttering the main interface, by double clicking their representations. Alternatively, you may organize them on separate tabs. The best part is that you can save your entire configuration, so you will not have to connect multiple devices repeatedly.

Pros

You may create various devices, connect and organize them. The application allows you to choose from a variety of audio devices. You can sort them on separate tabs, so you won't overload the main interface.

Cons

While using the program's trial version, your music will be paused every 20 minutes. If you want to play music in front of a crowd, record in a studio or perform other similar jobs, you can replace a lot of equipment with Maize Studio.
